A pondering

How does a boy who's first purchase with his own money was Queen's album "The Game" become a teacher in a sweater vest?

"When you're famous they let you do it" 

Offensive, disturbing, .... true? 

Do "they let you do it"  because you're famous and "they" like it? Or do "they let you do it" because "they" don't know what else to do? Because your fame indicates some level of power "they" would have to overcome or circumvent. 

And does the answer to that question matter to you? Or do you just like doing it, regardless of how "they" may be feeling? Do you even recognize that "they" might have feelings? 

Joe's wife will let you do it if you're famous

Frank's daughter will let you do it if your famous

Bob's mom will let you do it if you're famous 

Ann will let you do it if you're famous 

It feels different when it's "Ann" doesn't it? 

So there's that, too. 

Question of the day

I'm not suggesting you change any behavior. Just stop and wonder; what have you done today because it was "the right way" to do it, but that you hated? How many times have you felt things that  embarrass you because you think other people don't feel them? Have you yearned for something you can't admit? Let something slide, because you didn't feel right about speaking up for yourself, or thought it wouldn't matter? 

What if you are totally ok, and not at all alone?
